Decade-Old Brewers Ticket Promotion Pays Off With World Series Berth
A Milwaukee Brewers fan who paid $1,000 in 2015 for a "Timeless Ticket" is now hoping to redeem it for a seat at the 2026 World Series, the team's first appearance in the Fall Classic since 1982. Nate Holzman, who now lives in Los Angeles, told Milwaukee television station WISN he bought the ticket on the first day it went on sale because the idea of guaranteed access to any future Brewers home game appealed to him.
The Brewers sold 1,000 Timeless Tickets in 2015 for $1,000 each. According to the team's website, each ticket is a brass token personalized with the buyer's name and authenticated through the Major League Baseball Authentication Program. The team states that owners can redeem the ticket for any future home game at American Family Field, whether that's a regular-season contest "this season, the year 2050, or the 7th game of the World Series." biathlon bets
Milwaukee earned its World Series berth after posting the best regular-season record in baseball with 103 wins. The Brewers defeated the San Diego Padres in four games in the National League Division Series, then swept the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. The pennant marks Milwaukee's first since 1982, when the Brewers lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games.
The Brewers will face either the Cleveland Guardians or Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series, with Game 1 scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, at American Family Field in Milwaukee. First pitch is set for 8 p.m. ET on FOX, with pregame coverage beginning an hour earlier.
