Adam Copeland and Christian Cage won the AEW Tag Team Championship on 24 May 2026 in Queens, New York, after Dax Harwood submitted in the main event at Double or Nothing. The match against FTR ended when Harwood uttered “I quit” following a series of submission holds applied by Copeland and Cage. Both teams used ladders, tools and a flaming table during the contest.

Stokely Hathaway attempted to interfere on behalf of FTR. Beth Copeland, appearing at ringside, was positioned to intervene before being removed from the area. Harwood later prepared a table covered in lighter fluid, but Hathaway was pulled into the path of a spear intended for Beth Copeland and crashed through the flames instead.

Copeland and Cage previously held tag team gold seven times in another promotion, with their most recent reign ending in April 2001. The victory marks their first championship success since joining AEW.

The new champions will now defend the titles in upcoming AEW events as the promotion continues its scheduled programming.
